Furness Tradition Folk Festival 2026

Once again, Furness Tradition brings you a packed program for our annual folk festival. Saturday has plenty to do and see. In the town centre we will have the Makers Market with stalls from local crafts people. Around town you should be able to catch one of our nine dance teams who are coming to perform for us. At The Coro we have concerts by Wychbury and The Madeleine Stewart Trio, and in the evening our traditional ceilidh, the Grand Merry Neet Ceilidh, led by the wonderful Tumbling Tom Big Band with caller Fiona Rigg. Then there’s late night storytelling with Ian Douglas at The Hope and Anchor and more.
A new addition to the festival this year is a Free Folk Fest behind The Sun Inn, which we are calling ‘The Sun Inn Music Stage’. Seven hours of folk, world and roots music starting at 2 pm, all for free. Check out the Furness Free Folk Fest page to find out more.
