Come one, come all! After the raging success of our Beltane buffoonery, storytellers Dave Tonge, Ian Douglas, and their humble jester Mark Borthwick return to the stage to entertain, tickle and beguile you!
As summer climbs towards its peak, we will once again explore the fine garden of these British Isles! Dave was raised by foxes in the splendid south, and Ian was plucked, fully formed, from a hedgerow in the Yorkshire Dales. Both come together
to showcase the very finest of their respective cultures.
Each round we will tell a story from a list of themes, and the audience will decide how many Yorkshire Puddings or Norfolk Dumplings those stories are worth. So come ready for an evening of stories, laughter, riddles, audience participation, and mirth!
Join us! Young and old, for an extravagant Olympics where we pit Ian’s Northern wiles against Dave’s southern charms, to celebrate and explore the eccentricities between our brothers from opposite ends of the land.
This event is free/by donation. Great stories, and good company! Myths, fables and wonder-tales from all across Albion served up with mashed turnips and a sprig of parsley for your delight, it’s June Japes!
