Join Jessie McMeekin and Dave Camlin for an evening of stories and songs exploring the enduring power of place. The Long Way Home takes the form of a journey which uses folk songs and tales to explore the links between the nations of England, Wales, Northern Ireland & Scotland.
Dave Camlin is a journey-man of Cumbrian roots music.
Through all of Dave’s innovative music-making run the big themes of Cumbrian cultural roots, landscape and history.
Kicking off in the mid 90’s with the experimental acoustic-electronica of Altar Native, Dave went on to form Tryckster, the classic West Cumbrian roots-rock band. Recent years have seen him focus his energies on leading Cumbrian community choirs such as Mouthful and Sing Owt! , as well as collaboration with storyteller Jessie McMeekin.
