Benedict Morris and Cormac Crummey are two of the hottest young musicians on the traditional music scene. They make up a very talented fiddle and guitar duo. Benedict, the Scot, is just 20 and plays fiddle. He’s already confirmed as a finalist in Radio Scotland’s Young Traditional Musician of the Year for 2019. Cormac, from Belfast, is 21 and plays guitar, tenor guitar, bass and banjo. And these guys can play!
They have recently recorded their debut album ‘Wavelength’ in RedBox Recording Studios, Belfast with engineer and renowned musician Dónal O’Connor. Over the last few years, they have compiled a vast collection of music, mostly new compositions penned by themselves and some of Scotland and Ireland’s most notable musicians. This, combined with progressive yet tasteful accompaniment really does make for a refreshing and energetic performance.
